GRANT TO THE EPISCOPALIAN BISHOP.

The extraordinary proposition of his Excellency in Council to grant £200 per annum in aid of the salary of Dr. Selvvyn, has naturally excited feelings of surpiise and regret in the minds of right thinking persons, and we are therefore gratified by having been made acquainted with the fact that a spirited expression of thanks to the Members of Council who opposed the grant is in course of preparation, and we are assured that every friend of civil and religious liberty will lose no time in affixing his signature thereto.

Baptized. — On the 14th September, in St. Mary's Catholic Chapel, St. Mary's Mount, by the Catholic Pastor, Anne Mary, daughter of John and Baidget Harrington.
