The Olympic Games are to be held next year in Antwerp. These games, which are of world-wide importance, were abandoned when the war started. Their -resumption is a fair indication that, the world is settling down once again. The Wellington Caledonian Society intend holding a big amateur Athletic gathering on the Basin Reserve on lioxing Day. The Caledonian sports were wont to be big events of the year in Wellington, and their resumption, after a long lapse of years, will be very pleasing. Alex. Campbell, the old-time Wellington representative Rugby forward, is putting a lot of life, and energy into the Caledonian Society, in a style that is typical of anything-he undertakes. Another good .sport on the. directorate of the Society is "Dorry" Leslie, the old-time walking champion, who these days has a lot of success at starting the various athletic events. The annual steeplechase in connection with King'si College, Auckland, took place last Friday. About 190 boys competed over a distance of five miies across country. The race resulted:—Lockhart 11. (9mins), 1; Frayling I. (9mins), 2; Pitcher (omins), 3;

Tattersfield (9mins), 4: Talbot (ser.), 5. The fastest time—2Bmins 23secs, was made by Talbot, who ran a magnificent race. Starting scratch lie made a great fight, and he broke the previous record of the College for the event. This was made by V. Clark, in 1916, who completed the race in 29mina. 32 seconds.
