Mr. Ralph Levoi, well known as the Wellington manager for many years of the New Zealand Accident Insurance Company, has been appointed by hig company to the important position of Superintendent for Australasia. Mr. Levoi is to be congratulated upon his well-earned promotion, but the pleasure

of his many friends in the city will be tinged with regret when they learn that his new duties will necessitate his residence in Australia during alternate six monthly periods. As indicating the estimation in which Mr. Levoi is held by the directors of the Company, it may be mentioned that the notification of his promotion was accompanied by a substantial cheque, in recognition of past services extending over a period of 22 years. Mr. James Harrison, who has ably filled Mr. Levoi's chair during the recent absence of the latter gentleman in Australia, continues to act as the Company's district manager for Wellington. * • * The Railway Department advertise train arrangement® for Monday next (the King's Birthday), including; a special train to the Upper Hutt, leaving Te Aro at 12.45, and Wellington at 12.55 p.m.
