ALLEGED MURDER IN THE THAMES.
We are glad to state that no murder has been committed lu the Thames. It appears that an old Maori, Taora Waitai, died, and was buried by bis tribe, and that las whare was robbed of its contents by a European or Europeans, connected with the flux mill. The natives demanded £lO as payment, and would have been satisfied with that sum if it had been forthcoming. We are glad that Air. Mackay has gone down, as the Europeans, who committed the theft, will now be brought to justice. Wc arc sure this news will be hailed with satisfaction by our readers.
