FIRE IN SYMONDS-STREET.
This morning, about three o'clock, just as we were going to press, the ominous fire bell sent forth its thrilling sound, and at the same moment the sky was covered with a red glare in the direction of Symondjstreet. We at once despatched a messenger to the scene of the conflagration, when it was found that Pope's bakery wis in llames. The whole building and several and outhouses were completely destroyed, and it was with the greatest difficulty that the suproonditig buildings were saved. We cannot say whether Mr. Pope is insured or not, but we heard that he is.
