WEEKLY COMMERCIAL RECORD.

Since our last weekly report there is very little change. A fair trade has been done, and a few auction sales been held, the result of which if taken as a guide, docs not indicate an advancing market. Our imports have been 212 head of cattle, two small cargoes of coals, one of sundries from Hobarton, and the general cargo of the Gladiator from Loudon. The market is not overstocked,'excepting liquids, and if goods do not arrive more freely than they do at present, there is not much fern- of a glut. Of land sales we have two rather extensive, the first was suburban land beyond Freeman’s Bay, cut up into allotments, and sold at very high rates; the second an extension of the township of Drury, was sold, also at high prices, by Mr. Buckland. This is scarcely to bo wondered at, as Drury is the chief landing place and depot at present, for the supply of the army of the Waikato. A large sale of land, at Drury, took place at Mr. Alfred Buckland’s mart, yesterday, it was an extension of the government laid out township, and was divided into ton sections ; the allotments were mostly 66 feet frontage, and the roads the same width, the attendance was very largo, and we suppose the prices obtained were satisfactory, the whole or nearly the whole of the lots were sold and realized as under.
