ALLOWANCE FOR DEPRECIATION. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September4o. Referring to the allowance to. be made for depreciation on buildings in connection with the income tax, the Minister of Finance said the taxpayovs need have no anxiety regarding the operation of the concession ho had foreshadowed in the Iloflse. The allowance would be 4 per cent, on wooden buildings and 2} percent on brick buildings. The Commissioner for Taxes had power under the Act to make this allowance.
