Hughes has announced Ilia' the unions' delegates at the shipbuilding conference have agreed to urge the unions to accept th'e Government's conditions that work be continued uninterruptedly with the dilution of labour and broadly on the principle of equal pay for equal work and piecework. He emphasised that unless the unions accept those conditions the Government will uot start the industry.
