EXEMPTION OF MARIST BROTHERS.
PROTEST FROM WANGANUI.
(Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, July 17,
A big meeting was hold in the Opera House to-night, and was addressed by (he Rev. Howard Elliott.
A resolution was passed protesting against the glaring injustice, imposed by preferential treatment .of Marist Brothers in respect of military service. A further resolution passed expressed approval of the present system'{of education, and congratulated the Minister of Education on his firm opposition to State aid to Roman Catholic schools,
