THE WHEAT PURCHASE.
FEELING OF DUNEDIN MILLERS, DUNEDTN, July 14. The Ministerial statement notwithstanding, the millers of Dunodin are far from being satisfied with the Government wheat deal.. The price was Gs 3d at ship's side, whereas another cargo has been lauded which was purchased at 4s 7-Jd f.0.1i. (and sacks in), and which with duty paid works out at under (is. The Government deal cost the millers 3d a bushel more. According to a Dunedin miller the document emoted as showing the millers' satisfaction was a letter to the Board of Trade, stating that the millers of Dunedin were well satisfied with the way in which Mr Ferrier had distributed the wheal, and with the way in which the cargo ex was handled. Nothing whatever was said about the price.
