SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE.
AUCKLAND FALLS INTO LINE,
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND,. July 0. A Second Division League formed tonight passed a resolution urging the immediate need for revision of the scale of allowances, pay, and pensions so .that the dependants of soldiers at present and in the future may not have to appeal to patriotic charity for assistance which should be provided by the State. It was also urged that facilities be made, for the immediate examination of Classes A. and 8., the opinion being expressed that a reservist should not be graded by private 'o'r semi-offi-cial (persons, but that all ballots should be taken under the present system, and exemption other than for physical unfitness, should be granted only by ,i military court of appeal. It was regretted that there was no Government
recognition of dependants other than wives and children,
