•In tho llouso to-day, Mr E. P. Lee directed the attention of the Minister of Defence to a letter received from the North Otago Soldiers' Fund with respect to throe eases of insufficient pensions to returned wounded soldiers.

.The letter was read, and the Minister was asked if it was intended to set up an Appeal Board in pension matters: also if It was intended to increase the rate of pensions in these extreme cases,

The Minister of Defence said it was not intended to set up a further Appeal Board. As to an increase of pensions, the question was under the consideration of the Government.
