PHOENIX BOWLING CLUB.

A meeting of the Committee of the PhCEuix Bowling Club was held last evening, Present: Messrs J, E. Broad (president), J. T. C'alder, Jas, Bee, A, Slater, and D. H.. Thomson (Hon. sec.) On the motion of the president it was decided to send a letter of condolence to Mr W. 11. Westphal in his recent bereavement.

Correspondcuce in reference to the Daylight Saving Bill was read from Mr M'r'W. F. Massey, Mr J. Aiistcy, M.P., and Mr C. E, Stalham, M.P. Minor matters requiring attention on the green were left in the hands of the president and secretary.

It was decided to invite the St, Kildi Club to pay a visit to Oamaru o: Labour Day.

The programme of matches as played last year, was again adopted all the ganics to be played on the two-life system. The opening day was lixeil for Thursday, 28th September, at 2 p.m., and no play to be allowed on the green before that date..
