The grand jury returned a true bill in the ease of Toetc Kaiuuku, a Harolongau native, 'charged with the murder of Kenneth Livingstone and the attempted murder of Charles McFarlane, shepherds at Lonely Bush Station, near Mangapehi, in the King Country, early in July, . When the ease was mentioned before Mr Justice Cooper to-day, Dr Bpattie,in charge of the Avondale Asylum, said Kaiuuku, who was under detention there, was suffering from an actue attack of mania .and was dangerously homicidal. He was unfit to travel, and it would be dangerous to allow him out ,in his present condition. The mania might subside in a few wcekE. The trial was therefore postponed.
