NORTH OTAGO RED CROSS SOCIETY.

WESTON AND ARDGOWAN BRANCH. ANNUAL REPORT. The Weston and Ardgowan ladies started work last June for. the hospital ship Miaheno. At a meeting held in August it was derided to send all goods through the Oamaru Centre, and Mrs Wilson and Mrs Jos. Mitchell wero appointed representatives to the Advisory Committee. In December it was derided to institute a mcmljcrsliip contribution with a minimum of Is per month. The collectors were Mesdamcs Lawrence, Crombie, Meek, Harvey, and Miss Dick. In addition to clothing sent in, two cases of special comforts were contributed in December.

At the garden fete the Weston and Ardgowan ladies assisted at the western refreshment lent. Wc have to thank Mrs McGrath, who collected £4 10s towards the tent, also Mir R. Hagan. The balance (£3l7s Gd) was handed to the secretary of the Garden •fete. We also have to thank all the ladies who so generously helped at the tent and donated provisions,

The balance-sheet for the year shows proceeds of social £l6 (is Bd, by subscriptions £l4 17s Gd-r-total, £3l 4s 2d; expenditure on material, etc., £23 17s 10(1; handed' to Centre, £4 9s 3d; balance in hand, £2 17s Id. The members of Committee for the ensuing year arc: President, Mrs Jos. Mitchell; secretary and treasurer, Mrs J. Crombie; Committee—Mesdamcs R. Dick, Lawrence, Harvey, B. Meek, Kirton, Misses Dick, Isbister, Gilchrist, and West.
