A police raid.last night resulted in the arrest of thirteen •persons, w'ho were charged in the court this morning with breaches of the Gaming Act. Pour Chinese were charged with being occupiers of gaming houses, and three other Chinese with being found in common gaming-houses. They were renutiuKid till the 25Hi iiist. on bail. Six Europeans pleaded guilty to being found in com-, inoii gaming-houses, and all were lined ,20s; in default three days' imprisonment..
