TO THE EDITOR. Sin, — A " carnal prohibitionist" is anyone who wants to forbid to men the use of alcoholic liquors by means that are worldly, irreligious, and unscriptural — hence, "carnal prohibitionists." Those who would, m shorb, use the power of Caesar m its application to the government of the moral qualities m man to the contraction of the free scope of his moral powers and responsibilities as they pertain to the exercise of private judgment and --personal taste may be termed "carnal prohibitionists." — lam, etc.-, J.
