RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT. (Before Major Keddell, R.M.) CIVIL CASE.

E. A. Wegener v. R. Campbell and Sons, claim L8 3s 3d for shearing 1088 shoep. Mr Harvey for plaintiff, find Mr Nowton for defendant Company. Mr Harvey asked to recall plaintifl'. Mr Newton objooted as the caso had boon closed tho previous afternoon. His Worship assented to tho re-opon-ing of the case. Ernest Augustus Wegener recalled tho conversation he had with Kerr when having his hair cut at Benmoro. He obsorved as ho saw the shoop going down to the yard, ♦♦ Surely they are not going to ahear to day 1" Korr said, " I should think not." Witness said, "Remember the poor sailor boys, Korr, if you don't care for us." Kerr said, 4< You are quite right." R. Leishman corroborated the statoment that this conversation took place and also that Kerr stated that ho would rather class for half a day than go down and give his opinion on them. Loishman said Steel and M'Cormack woro present. Arch. Steel was called, bub did not appear, and Mr Harvey said that was the case. Counsel addressed the Court it length, and his Worship said he would reserve his decision. Ho would give counsel timely notice of the day when ho would givo his decision.
