Tli" annual meeting of tlio irembers of tlie lv »itaki Collio Dog Club was held on Saturday evening at the Terminus Hotel, Mr D. MncfaWuno boing in the chair. Fully 20 members of the Club wero present, and three new membais wore elect i (1. Tht! balance-sheet wos read, and showed tlio balances on fixed deposit with the bank to be L32 17» 9d. Mr R. R. Orr (Stiition Peak) w«s elected president for the ensuing year ; Mr James Menzies, vice-president ; and Mr J. Barclay, secretary and treasurer. The following gentlemen were elected a committee : Messrs D. Macfarlano, J. Durward, D. M'Kenzie, \V. H. Ross, W. I Frn8er, A, Gunn. and T. Davidson. j It wna decided to hold the trial in tho *ame place and about the same time as Just year. After considerable discussion, in which ull present took part, it was decided tint the classes be the Baine as lust year, but that the entrance fees bo increased. It \ra» decided to have four classes for best bred dogs, and a prize in each class. The shepherds' footrace is to be the same as last year, but trophies are to be given as prizes. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting. The Club has a membership of over 50, and the greuteat difficulty it has to contend with is to keep down the number of entries so as to confine tho triil to a one day event. It will therefore be seen th'it ! the Club is progressing. I
