The ettect of tho alteration in the population shown by tho census is that the South Island loses ono momber, and the North gains one, the numbers being 39 to 31. Wellington and Canterbury will bo confined to tho town boundaries, and u now doctor.ito is constituted to bo known as Wellington Suburb*. Tho Commission will meet .ig.iin on tho 16th to hear objection.
