Sho was constructed Bpecially for mission purposo in tho Pacific on their behalf, and brings Mr and Mra Jotts, missionaries. Inspector Broham haa received information from Wangaroi that Mr Bishop, R M., on Saturday dealt with the Poroti still case. Undorhill waa fined L100, or 12 months' imprisonment, and the distilling plant was confiscated. Dunn, tho celebrated burglar, died yesterday ab Mount Eden Gaol. Ho was sent up from Wellington to Auckland gaol and discharged hero. Ho was subsequently arrested by Detective Herbert for attempted burglary at tho Oxford Hotel, after a sharp oncountor between the two men, in which tho ofticor used his handcuffs and Dunn a butcher's cleaver. The late Justice Gillios sentenced Dunn to 14 years' penal servitude, half of which had boon served. The Rev. Mr Sprott, of St. Barnabas Church, Mount Eden, has under consideration an offer of the incumbency of tho Cathedral parish of St. Paul's, Wollincton. *
