In the annual report of the Congregational Union it ni rtated that Mr Milne had not been cneceaaf ol in floating a loan to liquidate church debts. The committee had much anxiety, from lack of funds, to carry on the work of the Union, and some churches had again neglected to forward collections. The reply of his Excellency to the address of welcome was read. He said it would be bis duty, in administering the Gorernmeob to adopt a strict attitude el impartiality without rsgtfd to religious or political tenets.
