QUEENSLAND.
Miss Potts, while bathing at Park, Rookhampton, was carried out a long distance by the waves. Miss Hays, who waa with her, boldly swam out, and after great oxertion, rescued her in an insensible condition. Natural respiration was restored in half an hour. Miss Hays, who is a splendid swimmer, behaved nobly.
