BEDOUIN is a daik brown horso, with black points ; frco from all blemish, and has great muscular power. When a 3-year old, Bedouin beat a good field of seven horses, including Watorwitch, Qucon Beo, Kettledrum, and Lady of tho Lake — distance, 1£ mile. Ho also won tho Clutha Ferry Handicap, beaMng Lady Ellen and four others— distanco 2£ miles. Ho ran second to Backbiter for tho Lawrence Town Plato, in 1871 ; and won tho Publicans' Purse at Waiwera — distanco, 2 miles. His latest performance was winning tho Cromwell Spring Handicap (distanco, 1J mile), easily, and ho has also been victorious in many other events. Bedouin is brother to tho well-known colt Saladin, the winner of many big events at all distances, from 1 mile to 3, in good company, Bedouin io by tho well-known horso Tho Colonel, a dark chestnut, 16 hands high, frco from white ; remarkably handsomo, long and powerful.
