DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
At Hampden on Thursday a^tern.Qon, notwithstanding the r^in, three more of the local company fired for the district prizes, the only good score being the following : — Sergeant Bremner : 200 yds, 16 ; 400 yds, 15 ; 600 yds, 13 ; total, 44. On Saturday the Oajnnru Artillery competed under the following conditions :—: — Weapon, regulation carbine j ranges, 2.Q0, 300, and 400 yards, fire rounds at each ; 8-inch bull's-eye at the first two ranges. Ten competed, the following being the scores made :—: —
