THE NORTH OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

The January match of this Association was fired on Saturday last, on the Oaicaru, Otopopo, and Hampden ranges, squads firing in the morning and afternoon. At Oamaru the weather in the morning was good, but in the afternoon the heat thai prevailed was rather oppressive. Th« scoring, with few exceptions, who quit* up to the average, when it is considered how stringent the conditions of the competition were. The highest scorer was Mr R. L. Rule, with the excellent totaf of 48. The scores of the Oamaru and Otepopo members are given below, those from Hampden not being yet to hand. Conditions — 300 and 600 yards, seven shots at each ; any position ; Wimbledon (1873) targets.
