The Peter Mitchell, a schooner of about 100 tons register, has been chartered in New York to proceed to the wreck of the San Pedro de Alcantara, a Spanish vessel which, many years since, sunk w'th treasure to the amount of 6,000,000 dollars on the coait of Venezuela The Government of that State h;s granted a convention to Capt, Folingsby, the charterer, for the sole privilege of searching fur the treasure in and around the spot of the wreck during a term of six years on payment of a royalty of 5 per cent, on the salvage.
