RIVERTON. November 19.
At a public meeting hold hero at noon to-day, and which wan well attondod, a resolution was passed to support the prosent Ministry. Mr Hodgkinson was complimented for tho conscientious support of Ins party past and present. In the event of Sir G. Grey's Ministry being defeated, tho mooting considered a dissolution necessary. Tho Chairman of the Wallace County Council has telegraphed from Riverton to the Colonial Secretary, stating thnt the mining population at Orepuki, owir.g to the lnte bad weather, could not communicate by boat to obtain provisions, and were in consequence in great distress for want of the commonest nece.-anrica of life. Ho asked that the Stello might be allowed to take provisions to Orepuki. Col Whitmore has telegraphed to Capt. Fnircbild to do so.
