In coming election, triumphant majority anticipated for the Dictator. Churcli party understood to bo in opposition to the present Government. On the 6th ultimo a decree was issued to prevent smuggling. Agents despatching goods must give •county in Callao for 10,000 dollars, and in minor
ports 5000 dollars ; security forfeited in attempting to defraud the revenue. On iho 11th ultimo, Colonel Bolta and several others were apprehended and imprisoned for being engaged in secreting arms and ammunition.
