Oamaru Times Office, Wednesday Evening.
Our commercial intelligence is not much more cheering than it was, and we regret to say that the Magistrate's Court has been receiving a considerable accession of business of late in the shape of suits for debt, money being in demand, and difficult to be obtained. There is considerable activity, however, apparent in quarrying stone for building purposes, and the importation of timber. The number of houses in the town is still increasing, and most of those being erected are substantial stone ones.
