The Kaitaia sub-branch of the Bay of Islands Registered Nurses’ Association, held their monthly meeting at the residence of Mrs. Ward on Monday afternoon. The afternoon was devoted to a farewell to Miss McDiarmid, who was j primarily instrumental in establish- ■ ing the Kaitaia branch. She has also helped financially and in providing a meeting room which has put the As- | sociation on the sound basis it enjoys today. | The guest of honour was presented with a shoulder spray by the Secretary, Mrs. Lees. The President pre- | sented her with crystal. Miss Mci Diarmid suitably responded. 1 Afternoon tea was served and an | enjoyable afternoon was concluded by j the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” [ ! A vote of thanks was moved by the President to the hostess for her hosp- • 1 itality.
