In the game Kaitaia v. Nomads A Kaitaia had a win by 37 runs in th< first innings. For Kaitaia, Maekin tosh knocked up a very well ha.'dlet 62 before being caught by Kessell oil Findlay. Kessell was top batsman for Nomads with 24, whilst Findlay ran him a close second with 23. Peria secured a four point win over Nomads B by 1 run, L. Beazley being top scorer with 37 for Nomads whilst H. Olsen with 21 was top for Peria. Details of the day’s play are as follows : VICTORIA VALLEY DEFEATS MANGATAIORE At the Mangataiore ground on Saturday the Valley team secured a larrow first innings win over the home side. Batting first on a very slow outfield and against steady bowling, the Valley could only muster 60. The Mangataiore batsmen, however, found the accurate bowling of Graham Dawson and the splendid swingers of Keith Panther too big a hurdle art!
