W.D.F.F. CARD AFTERNOON
The Kaitaia branch of the W.D.F.F. held a very successful card afternoon in the Parish Hall yesterday after noon. Flag 500 being the order of the day. The tables were all filled and an enjoyable day’s play resulted, the winners being: First prize—Mesdarnes C. S. Puckey, C. Crene, R. Pitchford : Travelling prizes Mesdames E. R. Bird, A. W. Bird and B. Marks. The competition was won by Master Sowter. v The proceeds from the function are to be donated to the Blind Institute; a small goods stall helped to augment the funds. Afternoon tea brought the functio-i to a conclusion.
