UNITED NATIONS APPEAL FOR CHILDREN
Public Meeting to be Held On his own suggestion at last night’s Borough Council meeting, the Mayor (Mr. I). Archibald Snr.) was authorised to convene, in conjunction with the Chairman of the Mangonui County Council, a public meeting to discuss ways and means of inaugurating a campaign for funds for the United Nations Appeal for Children. Speaking to his suggestion, Mr. Archibald said that local interest in the appeal was evident and that monies had already been subscribed and were being held by the Rorough Clerk.
