BOROUGH FOREMAN’S REPORT
The Borough Foreman (Mr. H. R. Watts),' reported last night that in spite of difficulties encountered through the recent wet weather, good progress, had been made with the clearing of outfall drains. Borough roads, he said, had been recently graded but were not in a very satisfactory condition owing to the amount of water present. The Borough water supply was reported as satisfactory Arising out of the suggestion of Councillor Quilter that approaches to bridges needed re-metalling, the Borough Clerk (Mr. W. H. Atkins) was authorised to purchase up to 300 cubic yards of metal for necessary road repairs before winter. This amount is to be increased if required.
