F. Bradley presiding. Arrangements were made to purchase alljk materials, necessary for repairs to the hall. When all the material is on*hand a working bee will be arranged to do repairs, ready for the painting. The paint is already on hand and it s hoped to .get a painter to i do lint work in November. # ANNUAL TENNIS MEETING The Takahue Tennis Club’s annual meeting held this week and Mr. D. Wallafc was in the chair. A very successful" season was reported for last- year financially and socially. The junior tc-ym were the winners of the County competition. A new committee was elected as follows :i President—Mr. D. Wallace; Club Captain—Mr. E. Bedggood; Sec-retariesjp-Mrs. Bedggood and Miss N. Mastery; Committee Mrs. B. Wright# Messrs. M. Howell, D. Howe, T. Wafts and C. Riding. The date was fixed for October- 18th when members of other Clubs will be welcome Subscriptions were fixed at the same as last year, 15/- fc» men, 10/- for ladies and 7/6 for juniors under 16. % * TAKAHUE W.I. The 'Sakahue Women’s Institute held its ISeptember meeting in the Hall on ilfeesday last Mrs. H. Sanders presidiig over a good attendance. A vary interesting display of war souverßH-s formed the exhibition. - Arrangements were made for ouses to run to and Peria. Games were won D. Kitchen, Mrs. Braithwaite Hodges.
