1.0.0. F. Lodge Notes

Koa Rebekah Branch Koa Rebekah held their final meeting for the year in the Methodist Hall last Monday evening. A gift was made to the Lodge by Bro. I. McKinnon of a 25-year-old Banquet programme, which belonged to his mother, the first N.G. of Koa Rebekah. After business was dispensed with members changed into fancy costumes and hilarity was the keynote for the rest of the evening. While the five prize-winners, Sister May (prettiest), Sister Knightbridge (best homemade), Sister Armiger (most humorous ) and Sisters Wilkinson and Knight (most original) deserve special mention all looked excellent and a few dashing soldiers, sailors and airmen provided added entertainment. A sit-down supper was served and after several toasts were honoured Sister Stephenson who is shortly leaving the district, was presented with a gift. The children’s Christmas Tree will \ be held next Saturday night and Santa Claus has been booked for the evening. The next Lodge meeting will be held on 13th January.

C.A.S. SOCIAL GATHERING Members of the Kaitaia Community Arts Service will meet in the Parish Hall at 8 p.m. on Monday evening.
