BOY SCOUTS [ By Reef Knot ]
The weekly troop meeting was held last evening with a good attendance. The main scout work covered Trees and Pioneering for the second class badge. Next Thursday brings t 0 a close our Troop meeting nights for the year. It will be celebrated in the form of a pound night, and the interpatrol competition shield will be presented for the first time. This will be awarded to the patrol with the most points secured during the year, which includes points for camping as well as those won at Troop meetings. Our annual camp will be held at our site at Victoria Valley from 25th January to Ist February. Further particulars will be published later. Three scout application forms were forwarded during the week to Dominion Scout Headquarters, for scouts from the Troop to attend the Jamboree in Paris next year. The scouts who are desirous of going are working hard against time to complete their tests so that they will be eligible to attend.
