Dr. Alex Hodge, B.A. 8.D., of the j Baptist Tabernacle, Auckland.^ METHODIST CHURCH NEWS Visting Preacher Rev. Dr. Alex Hodge who is visiting Kaitaia in the course of a holiday tour, is well known as one of the most effective radio preachers in New Zealand. A graduate of Spurgeon’s College and the University of London, he came to this country some years ago to the pastorate of the Baptist Tabernacle, Auckland, where he has since ministered to one of the largest congregations in New Zealand. As Dominion Secretary of the Russian Missionary Society, he has an intimate knowledge of conditions in the Soviet Union, and has lectured extensively on this subject. When the Friendly Road session from IZB was reorganised a year or so ago, Dr. Hodge was included in the panel of speakers with the title of “Road-mender” and is well known to a wide circle of listeners. He will be guest preacher at the Kaitaia Methodist Church Anniversary service on Sunday evening.
