MANGONUI LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION At an Association meeting held on Wednesday evening club delegates arranged the draw for the next two rounds of the inter-Club competition. There will now be a bye in the junior sectioa because of a late entry by a Pukepoto team. The notice of motion that matches be played on alternate Saturdays was ratified. A discussion took place in connection with a County tournament, but this matter was left over until after Christmas. Saturday, 21st December Fairburns v. Takahue. Peria B v. Peria A. Pukepoto v. Herekino. Awanui a bye. During the weekend the Kaitaia Clubs Courts were a hive of activity. On both days members took full advantage of the fine weather and enjoyed as many games as possible. At Awanui On Saturday Awanui Club members armed with crowbars and hammers, dismantled the club house on the site of the old courts, and transferred it to the new courts at Waipapakauri. It is anticipated that an early start will be made to erect the building as soon as carpenters can be sorted out of the ranks of the players.
