Personal Mr. J. Matijevich left on Thursday to attend a wedding at Whangarei. Eagle Club The Eagle Club held on Tuesday 17th was as usual a successful evening, in spite of some members being away with mumps. Mr. F. Vazey was in the chair. Ping-pong and other games were played, but cards were given a bye. Mrs. Ricket won the lucky number. The boys .served supper and the girls washed up. One member was accorded musical honours in view of his birthday. Most concerned about the election results appeared to be Kaitaia schoolchildren. Pupils resorted to fisticuffs in the finish, we hear, to help press their points home.
