J There will be no more concerts or recitals held under the auspices of the Kaitaia Community Arts Club this year. This decision was made at a meeting of the Committee last evening. However on Monday, December 16, there will be a general meeting of all members of the Club in the Parish Hall. A general discussion of plans and arrangements for the coming year will take place, while Mrs. G. Simmonds, Secretary, hopes to be able to inform members of the types of programme offering for the coming season. Ladies are requested to bring along a plate on that evening and after the business is attended to a musical and social gathering will be held. Intending members of the Community Arts Club are requested to contact the Secretary, Mrs. G. Simmonds, or the President, Mr. A. G. Wilson. Now that the initial stages necessary for such a large and important organisation as the C.A.S. have been passed, the public may confidently look foiWard to regular visits from the best and most accomplished artists available. , AMBULANCE NEWS The Mangonui Ambulance Association have now closed on the option for the purchase of a complete ambulance chassis for £1033. Delivery of the vehicle is expected within 6 months. It should not be long before monies start- rolling in for this most worthy cause. The raising of finance is in the hands of a central executive, the Mangonui Ambulance Committee, comprisng representatives of local bodies and the Maori race ; while all the organisation of the service and the operating of the ambulance will be done by members of the Mangonui Ambulance Association. Sunray Park Motor Camp A bulldozer has now completed the heavy part of the work in forming the proposed road into the new Sunray Park Motor Camp. A County Council grader is to be placed on the job and then metalling will follow. Every effort is being made to provide the necessary facilities for a camp of this nature before the start of the holiday season.
