Personal Miss N. Masters visited Auckland this week. Mr. and Mrs. M. Wallace are at present in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. B. Wright are leaving on Thursday on a short visit to Auckland. Miss Dolly Simeon is at present an inmate of the Kaitaia Hospital.
The November meeting of the Takahue Women’s Institute was held in the Hall last Tuesday, Mrs. H. Sanders presiding over a good attendance.
It was “penny for friendship” moitih and pennies were collected from all members.
Results of the month’s competitions were : Salad—Mrs. D. 'Kitchen 1, Mrs. G. Wright 2 ; Cot Quilt —Mrs, Eales 1, Mesdames Quarterman and Rogers 2 ; Roses—Mrs. Eales 1, Miss K. Semenoff and Mrs. A. Wilson 2.
Luncheon hostesses were Mesdames Masters, Bedggood and G. Wright and the social hostesses Mrs. M. Sanders and Miss Semenoff. Games and competitions were won by Mesdames Masters, Braithwaite and Irving.
The December meeting will be held as usual, competitions to be : Christmas gift for child of eight ; 6 pike-
lets ; 6 green beans ; best arranged vase of mixed flowers. The hostesses will be Mesdames Quarterman, Rogers and Dixon.
