MONTHLY MEETING OF W.D.F.I
The August meeting of the Kaeo branch of the W.D.F.U. was held in the Kaeo Memorial Library last Thursday, Mrs. J. Muiray presiding. Mrs. W. H. Lane, (Dominion VicePresident) read a very interesting report of the recent meeting in Wellington of the Advisory Board. It was decided to assist in the Or phanage Appeal as in previous years An interesting lecturette on rose culture was delivered by Mrs. Ivan Shepherd, and was greatly appreciated. The Single Bloom Competition was won by Mrs. F. Maddox, Mrs. Murray taking second prize. The serving of a delicious afternoon tea brought a pleasant afternoon to a close.
