KAITAIA GOLF CLUB
The second round of the McDonald Cup played on Saturday resulted as follows: Parker defeated Kelly 5—4, Ladner defeated Creelman 3—2, Stanton defeated Hammond 3—2, McKechnie defeated Reynolds 2—l. The bogey match played in conjunction was won by W. McKechnie. The best scores returned were as follows: McKechnie 1 up, Reynolds all square, Ladner 2 down, Parker 5 down, Hammond 6 down, Bellingham 7 down. The match on Saturday will be a handicap stablefoi'd over eighteen holes and the semi-final of the McDonald Cup will also be played.
LADIES GOLF
Owing to unfavourable weather conditions, the Canadian foursomes were not played; a bogey match, won by Mrs. Stone, was played instead. Reduced handicaps: Mrs. Stone 30 to 27, Miss Pile 32 to 30. During the school holidays matches will be arranged at the club-house.
