Waiharara W.D.F.U.
The August meeting of the Waiha-rai-a Branch of the W.D.F.U. was held at the home of Mrs. M. Srhoj, the president, Mrs- Tony Yelavich presiding over a good attendance of members. The creed was read by Mrs. M. Vazey. The competition, “Any article from a flour bag,” was won by Nell Heath and the lucky number by Violet Yelavich. Articles for the next meeting are “Laundered cloth” and an article to be donated by the secretary. It was decided during the meeting to again send a parcel to the Branch’s adopted prisoner of war. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. D. Katavich and Sylvia Cox.
