Kaitaia Personals
Major J. Subritzkey left kaitaia on Monday to take up duty in the Social Security office in Whangarei. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Reynolds returned to Kaitaia on Monday after visiting their son John who is in the Auckland hospital. He is now reported to be progressing favourably. Driver C. J. Boag of Opua paid a flying visit to Kaitaia last week-end. Cpl. S. W. Batten returned to Auckland on Friday after spending his leave in Kaitaia. Miss R. Matthews of the Kaitaia Post Office staff is at present on annual leave. Mrs. Fred Lunjevich, who has been holidaying in Auckland, returned last Monday. Mr. N. Boyd, of the Kaitaia Hotel, is spending his annual holidays in the sputh. Flt-Sergt. McAffer, Flt-Sergt. Ingham, and Sergt Murphy visited Mangonui last week-end. Guests at the Kaitaia Hotel during the week included Mr. Raymond Ferner, S.M., Miss M. Ford, Messrs. J. A. Saunders, S. O. Johns, C. Luke, C. R. Riesop, K. R. Lott, A. Lineham, R. E. Hole, E. H. Barry, J. R. Ferguson, A. Palmer, J. Dynes, J. A. Richardson, G. Parker, A. M. Haig, and L. G. Anderson.
