LABOUR PARTY CARD EVENING
Last Wednesday evening another of the series of card parties being held by the Kaitaia branch of the Labour Party took place in the Masonic social hall. There was a large crowd present, and the excellent supper provided added the finishing touches to a perfect evening’s enjoyment. The competition was won by Mrs. Brownley. In the cards, first prizes were secured by Mrs. A. D. Foster, Miss B. Matthews and Mr. M. Pivac, the travelling prize by Mr. J. Paulson, and the consolation awards went to Mrs. Brownley and Messrs. L. A. Bryant and K. Hollay.
