ACTIVITIES IN THE NORTHLAND KAITAIA BRANCH The annual meeting of the Kaitaia branch of the Women’s Division was held in Foster’s rooms on the 17th inst., Mrs. Buckle presiding over a good attendance of members. Mrs. H. Foster read the creed. Mrs. Buckle in her report, thanked all members for their support during the year. She also spoke of the good work done by the Division housekeepers, saying that 13 housekeeping engagements had been filled during the past year, only two of them being to members in Kaitaia; all the others were to people in the surrounding districts, most of whom were not Division members. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr. Atkins for auditing the books, Mr. and Mrs. Foster for the use of their rooms, and to the Awanui Women’s Institute for a donation of 10/- towards the housekeeping fund. Officers Elected The following officers were elected

for the coming year: President —Mrs. Buckle Vice-Presidents Mesdames L. L. Pettit and C. S. Puckey Secretary and Treasurer —Mrs. W. Parker Social Secretary Miss Dorothy Puckey Committee —Mesdames A. G. Bell, J. Sowter, A. Morice, A. Masters, and H. Parker, Mrs. H. Foster and Mrs. W. Masters to represent the out districts. It was decided to hold a card afternoon on the Ist February in each •month, starting from April 1, and a card evening each 4th Tuesday in the month, commencing on April 27. For the evening cards, a season’s prize will be given to the lady and gentleman with the highest scores. An embroidered duchess set donated by Mrs. Stuart Masters was won by Mrs. G. Horsford. The next monthly meeting will be held on April 13 and members are reminded that the annual subscription of 2/6 is now due. Mrs. MacKenzie, on behalf of the members, thanked Mrs. Buckle for the good work she had done for the Women’s Division, Mrs. Buckle suitably responding. The committee served afternoon tea.
