Loan for Re-forming and Metaling Roads in Town Area
At the meeting of the Town Board it was suggested by Mr. Clark that a loan be raised to re-form to correct levels, metal, kerb and channel Redan Road. This road was most important as it leads to the County Hospital, and is in need of of re-forming to the correct levels before any further work was carried out. Cmr. Clarke then moved that the Engineer be instructed to prepare an estimate of this work for the next meeting of the Board. Other members considered that this question was one for a full Board meeting, and that as an application was before the Highway Board to -.'.‘dare road a Highway, it woul : - on ti-'ii before any major work \\. - taken. The opinion was also that this road should not be singled out 4 for preferential treatment, but that a 4 loan should be raised to re form and metal all the roads in the Are 3, and to kerb and channel such roads. As there was no seconder for Cmr. Clark’s motion, it lapsed.
